When WIFI do not work

Power-line networking is an efficient way to get computers online in your home if WIFI does not work. It uses the electrical wiring in your house to create a network. It comes in handy when WIFI reception is blocked.

Power-line networking is based on the concept of “no new wires.” The convenience is even more obvious in this case because while not every room has a network jack,  you will always have an electrical outlet near a computer. In power-line networking, you connect your computers to one another through the same outlet.

In a recent onsite case in Dacula, GA 30019, a client claimed to have weak reception on their WIFI and asked for an AP repeater. Pro Computer acknowledged that the consumer version of AP repeater is not very reliable when it comes to internet video streaming which most home users do. Pro Computer recommended the WIFI over power line solution instead.

When a Pro Computer technician arrived at Dacula GA 30019, he realized why the regular WIFI does not work in this house. The insulation in the wall has a metal foil surface, which blocks the wireless signal.

With the Power Line WIFI, Pro Computer successfully extended the WIFI signal into any corner of the house where the owner needed internet.

Another happy Pro Computer experience!
